About Us

The Oklahoma Food Cooperative is a marketing network of farmers, ranchers, artisans, and customers and volunteers that work together to bring local food and products to your front door. We are a community, united in our support for and interest in local foods.

Shop with ease and access to over 100 Oklahoma Producers. On the first day of each month, the ecommerce portion of this site opens for business. You can then order 24 hours a day until midnight on the second Thursday of the month. Registered customers or members are able order from more than 5,000 different items grown or made right here in Oklahoma by our Cooperative’s Producers. Customers can browse our network of about 100 Producers and shop our catalog of foods and products. (The number of Producers selling each month varies depending on their production.) On the third Thursday of each month, our Producers bring your orders for fulfillment to our Operations Center located at the Old Farmers Market near downtown OKC.  Our volunteers sort the products into individual customer orders and they are then delivered to one of our 52 locations around the state where it will be available for you to pick up your food items and craft goods. Payment is due online prior to our store closing or at the time of pick up.

We operate with transparency. Our Producers offer a wide variety of all natural meats and poultry: pastured chicken, grass finished beef, custom-fed pork, grain and grass fed lamb. All of the flocks and herds are free ranging and humanely managed. We offer Oklahoma wheat and flour, peanuts, and processed and prepared foods like cheese, salsas, breads, pies, cookies, jams, and jellies made right here in Oklahoma. And yes, we have eggs from free-ranging chickens and yogurt from the only dairy with grass-fed cows in this state. These are the same delicious and local foods found in your grandmother’s traditional kitchen, once again available to the public direct from Oklahoma farmers. This is “farm to table” in the purest sense.

We also have non-food items.  We have soaps, laundry detergent, clothes, art, crafts, plants for your yard and garden – all made right here in Oklahoma by people who may be your neighbors!  You can shop for gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays from the comfort of your own home and have the satisfaction that comes from making a good deal on good products that also do good in your local community.

These days you ought to know the farmers who produce your food. Our website introduces you to the family producing each product you can buy from us. You’ll also get recipes and suggestions for use of seasonal products. Ideas for holidays and unique gifts? You bet. All this and fun events for members with lots of good local food. But wait, there is more! Buying food directly from farmers and ranchers puts your money to work at the grass roots of our local and state economy, where it does the most economic good for the most people. Oklahoma needs that right now.

If you want to give your family the best food there is, shop the Oklahoma Food Cooperative. A cooperative organized under Oklahoma law, the Oklahoma Food Cooperative is owned by Oklahoma Producers and their members. It is the right thing to do. We were the first food cooperative in the United States to only sell locally grown and made food and non-food items. We have been in business since 2003 and have sold millions of dollars of local foods and non-food items to thousands of satisfied customers.
